CAT 320 GC — Amphibious Excavator

The CAT 320 GC Amphibious Excavator combines the digging and material-handling capabilities of a hydraulic excavator with a buoyant, tracked pontoon undercarriage. This customised platform enables the machine to remain afloat and move across shallow water, marshland, mud and other low-bearing-capacity ground where conventional excavators cannot operate effectively.

Its wide undercarriage distributes the machine’s weight and provides improved stability in soft environments. The excavator can support dredging and desilting, waterway maintenance, shoreline restoration, vegetation clearance, soft-sediment excavation and other marine or wetland construction activities.
